I create an uncomplicated website, displaying clear information, easy navigation, free from memory-hungry gimmicks like big flash effects.
Large images do take time to download, especially for those who still have only a dial-up connection, but a good picture is better received than a long run of words.
 
By writing uncluttered cleanly-coded hyper-text, your pages will be interpreted correctly by most modern browsers; your viewers see what you intend to show. Also, the pages will be easily viewed by search engine robots, but unfortunately that does not mean your website will magically appear on the first page of a Google search! The irony is that the more your pages are visited, the better the search engines find you.
